At the start of each term in the academic year, CIS holds training sessions and provides assistance with Canvas and learning technologies available to the Faculty of Applied Science. Instructors and teaching assistants are welcome to join and have their questions answered.

- UBC APSC is now using LockdownBrowser for invigilating quizzes (not Proctorio)
- September 20, 2021: It is now recommended to start creating “New Quizzes”. “New Quizzes” is now reliable and bug-free with a much friendlier user interface; it is simpler to create, edit and manage quizzes. Canvas will be moving away from “Classic Quizzes,” eventually removing them completely.
